MGM Brakes REACH Compliance Statement
REACH Regulation:
REACH is a new European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use (Regulation EC N. 1907/2006). It deals with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical substances. The new law entered into force on June 1, 2007. REACH places greater responsibility on industry to manage the risks that chemicals may pose to the health and the environment.
MGM Brakes, headquartered in North America, designs and manufactures brake actuators for the commercial vehicle industry. We are committed to product safety, regulatory compliance, and transparency in accordance with global environmental standards.
In relation to the European Union’s REACH Regulation (EC 1907/2006), MGM Brakes affirms the following:
1.The products (Articles) we supply:
a. Do not contain substances intended to be released under normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions of use.
b. Do not contain any substances currently included on the Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) for authorization.
c. If any such substances are present, they exist only in trace amounts and are below the 0.1% w/w threshold.
d. The total annual quantity of any such substance in our products is well below 1 tonne.
Based on this assessment, MGM Brakes is not obligated to pre-register, register, or notify substances under Article 7 of the REACH Regulation.
We will continue to monitor REACH developments and update this statement as needed to ensure ongoing adherence to regulatory requirements.
